About the Park
The 380-hectare reserve, 35 hectares of which are open to visitors, serves as the starting point for the bird park. The Parc des Oiseaux is located 26 kilometers north of Lyon and about 90 kilometers from Geneva. Opened in 1970, the bird park is home to around 600 bird species, some of which you can experience up close. For example, in the Loriloft, you can feed lorikeets fresh nectar, or at the big flight show, feel the birds flying just above your head.
