About the Park
The Nausicaá in Boulogne-sur-Mer is the largest marine museum and aquarium in Europe. It is located on the Côte d'Opale in northern France, directly on the Atlantic coast, on the Boulevard Sainte-Beuve. Boulogne-sur-Mer is a town about two hours from Paris and one hour from Lille, which makes it easily accessible. The Nausicaá covers an area of around 10,000 square metres and has over 50 aquariums and terrariums. In total, more than 58,000 animals from around 1,600 species are housed here. This diversity includes both marine and freshwater animals, including sharks, rays, penguins, jellyfish and exotic fish as well as reptiles and amphibians. The Nausicaá is known for its impressive exhibitions and interactive areas. Highlights include the huge "The High Seas" tank: with a water volume of over 10,000 cubic metres, it is one of the largest aquarium tanks in the world. Here you can observe majestic manta rays, sharks and other sea creatures in a breathtaking underwater landscape. The underwater dome: visitors can walk through an 18 metre long tunnel and experience the underwater world from a completely new perspective.
