About the Park
In the French winter sports resort of Le Markstein, located at an altitude of around 1,260 metres in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges regional nature park, you will find the Luge sur rail Markstein alpine coaster, which was built in 2013. The 735 metre-long alpine coaster from Josef Wiegand GmbH & Co. KG promises a thrilling descent with its 13 bends and a maximum speed of up to 40 km/h. As befits a winter sports resort, skiers and snowboarders also get their money's worth here in winter. The Luge sur rail Markstein is open all year round, depending on the weather, and can be reached from Colmar and Mulhouse in around 45 kilometres.
