About the Park
The Magic Noël event in Levallois-Perret is much more than just a Christmas market; it is an immersive winter festival that transforms the town on the outskirts of Paris into a glittering fairy-tale world. While many Parisian suburbs tend to hold smaller markets, Levallois has opted for a large-scale concept that takes over public spaces for several weeks and bridges the gap between traditional contemplation and spectacular entertainment.
The epicentre of the festivities is located on the forecourt of the town hall (Hôtel de Ville). Here, a charming Christmas village of wooden huts offers a careful selection of arts and crafts and culinary specialities. The atmosphere here is particularly high-quality; in addition to classic treats such as crêpes and vin chaud, you will often find regional delicacies such as foie gras, oysters or special pastries, making the market a popular destination for gourmets.
A unique feature of Magic Noël is its visual presentation. The monumental façade of the town hall serves as a screen for elaborate video mapping shows. In these light and sound spectacles, the architecture of the building seems to come to life as stories of dancing toy soldiers, snow-covered forests and Santa Claus' journey are told. These performances attract crowds of visitors every evening and form the festive highlight of the day.
For families, the action often shifts to the nearby Parc de la Planchette. There, Magic Noël is designed as an interactive adventure park. In addition to its own funfair with historic and modern carousels, there are usually temporary winter attractions such as an artificial ice toboggan run or an adventure course. The centrepiece for the youngest guests is Santa's House, where children can meet ‘Père Noël’ in person and hand in their wish lists in a richly decorated setting.
The experience is rounded off by the magnificent parades that wind their way through the streets on Advent weekends. With bright costumes, musicians on stilts and fantastic floats, these parades bring a atmosphere to the city reminiscent of large amusement parks. The combination of this high density of events, the elegant decorations and the family-friendly yet luxurious atmosphere makes Magic Noël one of the most attractive Christmas destinations in the entire Île-de-France region.
