Grand Aquarium de Saint Malo

In the north-west of France, or rather in Saint-Malo in Brittany, you will find the Grand Aquarium Saint-Malo marine aquarium, which opened in 1996, on about 4000 square metres. In forty-six aquariums, which together have a capacity of 2.6 million litres, live about 11,000 animals in about 600 different species. One of the highlights is the 120-square-metre seawater tank to touch and feel, as well as the 600,000-litre 360-degree shark tank "anneau des requins", home to up to seven sharks and three sea turtles. Every year, more than a quarter of a million visitors, young and old, from near and far visit the Grand Aquarium Saint-Malo.
