Colmar (F) - Foire de Printemps

The Foire de Printemps in Colmar is the first major fair highlight of the year in Alsace, bringing life and colour back to the heart of the city after the winter break. Unlike many other large-scale events, it does not take place on a remote exhibition site, but occupies the central Place Scheurer-Kestner.

This location, right on the edge of the historic old town, gives the fair a very special, almost intimate atmosphere. The rides and stalls are compactly arranged across the square, ensuring short distances and a bustling, lively atmosphere. Whilst sitting in the gondolas of the attractions, you often enjoy a spectacular view over the rooftops of Colmar and the striking spires of St Martin’s Cathedral.

The fair is renowned for its successful blend of tradition and modernity. Here, classic games stalls and nostalgic sweet carts offering Alsatian delicacies meet modern rides for adrenaline junkies. As Place Scheurer-Kestner is a major hub in the city, the fair becomes a natural meeting place for all generations – from schoolchildren after lessons to families on a weekend outing.
