Alpe d'Huez

In the French municipality of Huez in the Département Isère in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, about 28 kilometres from Grenoble, you will find the alpine adventure world L'Alpe d'Huez. L'Alpe d'Huez is particularly well known as a stage stop for the Tour de France and as a winter sports region. The many hiking trails, ski and snowboard slopes and mountain bike trails invite thousands of tourists every year. For action freaks, the alpine coaster Luge sur Rail and the tyre slide Tubing Xpérience are waiting in L'Alpe d'Huez. You'll also find an outdoor pool heated to 27 °C in winter and a synthetic ice rink. The 625-metre-long Alpine Coaster from Wiegand, which was built in 2017 and is open all year round, can even be ridden as a VR experience by a possible passenger. The tubing coaster, which is also open all year round, can accommodate up to six of the inflatable rings thanks to its width, so you can have a head-to-head race. Of course, in L'Alpe d'Huez you can also find something tasty to eat in the many gastronomic offers to fortify yourself again and start the next adventure. L'Alpe d'Huez is therefore an excursion destination for the whole family, where fun is certainly not neglected.
