About the Park
The city's zoo, also known as the mountain zoo, has been located in Halle an der Saale in the middle of the Reilsberg since 1901. Due to its size, it is one of the smaller zoos in Germany, but shows crocodiles, elephants, big cats and fur seals in addition to chimpanzees.
