About the Park
Since 1953, Dortmund Zoo has presented a wide range of options on an area of 28 hectares: over 200 species are at home here in the zoo. Particular attention is paid to the breeding of South American animal species, to which the marrow mascot, the anteater, belongs. But also Angola giraffes or the Andean condor can be found again and again in the top 10 most visited animals.
