Zoo Arche Noah

Only about 20 km north of , along the coastal strip, you will find Noah's Ark Zoo not a kilometre from the Baltic Sea since 1976. A small number of species (approx. 50) find enough space and exercise on an area of around 10 hectares. In its early days, the privately run zoo attracted attention with animals and their keeping that attracted the public's attention. It is not divided into sections, the animals live in enclosures suitable for them. In the middle of the zoo is a small playground with slides, climbing frames and a small railway. Animals such as alpacas or llamas can be observed or even stroked in large walk-in outdoor enclosures. In 2012, a large chimpanzee enclosure was opened.
