Wittmund - Bürgermarkt

The time has finally come! In Wittmund, the fifth season of the year is celebrated in style with the citizens‘ market on the third weekend in July. The three-day programme of events is extensive, colourful and varied. In addition to traditional events such as the senior citizens’ afternoon on Friday and the Low German church service on Sunday, the organisers and all those involved have put together a lively mix of highlights. The list of possible places to go this weekend is long. Visitors can expect lots of music and numerous attractions at many locations in the centre of Wittmund and on the church square. These include the flea market for children and adults, the varied music programme on the large live music stages, and the traditional bicycle auction.

The numerous showmen with their snack and drink carts, which offer a wide range of products, take care of the physical well-being. The official opening will be held by the new patron of the Bürgermarkt on Friday at 11 a.m. on the big stage at the market square. (Source: buergermarkt-wittmund.de)
