Wittenberg - Weihnachtsmarkt

Every year, the Wittenberg Christmas market enchants visitors on the historic market square in front of the picturesque backdrop of the Old Town Hall. During Advent, the square in Lutherstadt Wittenberg is transformed into an atmospheric winter village. Between festively decorated fir trees and pyramids, the scent of roasted almonds, fresh doughnuts, and hot mulled wine fills the air.

Lovingly designed wooden huts invite visitors to stroll around, where traders offer sweet and savory specialties as well as handcrafted gift ideas. A special highlight is often a Ferris wheel, which offers a unique view of the Christmas-lit city on the Elbe. On weekends, a varied stage program provides entertainment, and of course Santa Claus also makes regular appearances.
