Winterberg - Kirmes

The Winterberg Fair is a traditional folk festival that is considered one of the highest-altitude fairs in North Rhine-Westphalia. It takes place annually in August and transforms the central fairground ‘Am Rad’ into a lively festival site.

The festival combines modern folk festival entertainment with traditional elements:

- There is a wide selection of rides for the whole family, from fast-paced carousels to attractions for children.

- A large market with various vendors is also an integral part of the festival.

- Special highlights include the animal show on fair Monday and the large fireworks display that brings the festival to a festive close on the last evening.

The Winterberg Fair is known for its family atmosphere and attracts visitors who appreciate the mix of thrills, conviviality and tradition.
