About the Park
At a distance of about 40 kilometres south of Uelzen and about 30 kilometres west of Soltau, the Müden Wildlife Park is located in Müden (Örtze) in the southern part of the Lüneburg Heath. Under the motto "Close to the animals", the wildlife park has been privately run since 2012; it has around 10 hectares of land available for around 30 animal species. The predominantly native animals are kept in natural enclosures interspersed with streams and ponds, giving the impression of a natural and animal-friendly husbandry system. Raccoons, alpacas and European elk can be found here, as well as tortoises and nandus. A bird of prey show and several small attractions can also be found here and are ideal for children.
