Wildpark Hardegsen

The Hardegsen Wildlife Park is idyllically located in the Espoldetal on the edge of the Solling in Lower Saxony and offers a natural excursion destination for families, animal lovers and those seeking relaxation on around twelve hectares. Amidst mature trees, rolling hills and red sandstone outcrops, there are numerous native animal species such as fallow deer and red deer, wild boar, mouflon, donkey, goat and ferret. The petting meadow is particularly popular, where children can experience goats and sheep up close.

Since its opening in 1965, the wildlife park has developed into a lovingly designed nature experience. A circular route leads through two levels with varied enclosures, shady forest sections and beautiful viewpoints. Information boards provide interesting insights into the animals' way of life. In recent years the park has been modernized – with a new entrance area including a kiosk and a newly designed meerkat enclosure, which quickly became a magnet for visitors.

A special highlight are the regular demonstrations of a mobile falconry, where birds of prey such as owls and falcons are presented up close. Admission to the wildlife park is free, but donations are welcome and support the preservation of the facility. Free parking spaces are located right near the entrance.

The Hardegsen Wildlife Park is open all year round and is ideal for a relaxing walk in the countryside. Whether to observe the animals, play or simply enjoy nature – here relaxation is combined with exciting encounters in a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere.
