Wildpark Alte Fasanerie

There was already a pheasantry in Hanau in 1705. Its basic stock has been preserved over the centuries, so that it was converted into a wildlife park in 1967. Just over 30 different animal species live on a huge area of over 107 hectares (for comparison: the Frankfurt Zoo has around 12 hectares). The majority consists of wild animals from German forests, so that deer, deer and wild boar can be seen here. In addition, breeds of domestic animals such as Bentheim country pigs or Skudden are shown. An enclosure for arctic wolves and a falconry complete the varied offer.
