About the Park
The Herborn game reserve has been located in the Lahn-Dill district of central Hesse, more precisely in the Herborn city forest, around 47 km southwest of the university town of Marburg, since 1965. Around 70 animals from 10 species such as fallow deer, donkeys, llamas, red deer, Skudden and goats live on the 23-hectare site of the game reserve, which is run by the town of Herborn.
In addition to the animals, you will also find the 17-metre-high observation tower at the Dillblick, the Adlerhorst climbing frame, the Hessentags-Tower climbing frame, the rope pyramid, a mud playground and the bee nature trail on the grounds of the Herborn game reserve.
The Herborn game reserve is open all year round and free of charge, but the Friends of the Game Reserve are happy to receive a voluntary donation.
