About the Park
The Spring Festival is probably the WFV's oldest and most important event. It was handed over to the newly founded WFV at the beginning of the 1980s by the town of Wasserburg under the then mayor Dr Geiger in order to provide it with an economic basis so that it was able to finance the tasks assigned to it.
Since the restructuring in 2015, the spring festival has enjoyed great popularity and steadily growing visitor numbers.
New dates from 2020:
The Wasserburg Spring Festival begins on the Wednesday before Ascension Day with the parade and ends after 13 days, with Whit Monday.
From the beginning until 2018, it always started on the Friday before Whitsun and ended after 11 days, on Monday. In 2019, it started and ended one day earlier.
