About the Park
The most important event in the Vreden area is the Vreden funfair, which takes place every year from Saturday to Monday on the first weekend in September. On average, over 80,000 visitors come to this large funfair in the town centre, which is closed off for this purpose, over the three days. This makes it the second largest funfair in the Borken district and the largest in the old district of Ahaus. In keeping with its Catholic origins as a church consecration festival, it is still celebrated today as a religious festival with a procession.
