Vilshofen - Volksfest

The Vilshofen Folk Festival is a traditional folk festival on the Danube that takes place every year in late summer. It is one of the largest events in the town and attracts visitors from across the region.

The festival combines Bavarian tradition with modern folk festival entertainment and offers a diverse atmosphere for all age groups.

- Festival tent: A central attraction is the large festival tent, where festival host Georg Huber and the Wolferstetter brewery create a traditional Bavarian folk festival atmosphere. There is live music from various bands every day.

- Amusement park: Next to the festival tent, visitors can enjoy an attractive amusement park with numerous rides and stalls.

- Festive highlights:

- - Parade: On Sunday, there is a large, colourful parade that moves from the town square to the festival grounds.

- - Fireworks: The six-day festival concludes on Wednesday with a large fireworks display directly above the festival grounds.

- Special days: The festival programme traditionally includes a senior citizens' afternoon, a children's afternoon with reduced prices and a company day.
