About the Park
The Mecklenburg seaside resort of Bansin on the island of Usedom is home to what is probably Germany's smallest zoo, TropenZoo Bansin, which opened in 1970. Around 150 animals from 70 species, including ring-tailed parakeets, iguanas, tortoises, snakes, monkeys and birds, live in the 1,500 square metres of the privately run zoo. The 120 or so exotic plant species in the indoor and outdoor areas of the zoo are not just for botanists. TropenZoo Bansin is open all year round and is looking forward to your visit.
