Tierpark Rheinböllen

If you drive about 50 kilometres south from Koblenz on the federal motorway 61, you will inevitably come to the town of Rheinböllen. In 1976, the Hunsrück Game Park was opened there. Only a few years ago (2020) it was renamed the Rheinböllen Zoo. Around the Volkenbach pond, 40 animal species have around 76 hectares at their disposal. Most of the animals in the enclosures are indigenous species, but over the years some exotic species have been added, such as meerkats, Bennet's kangaroos and polar wolves. Brown bears, fallow deer and skudde can be observed by visitors in the spacious areas while they walk along the 3-kilometre-long circular paths....
