Tierpark Hirschfeld

In Voigtsgrün, a district of Hirschfeld in Saxony, 12 kilometres south of Zwickau, you will find Hirschfeld Zoo, which opened in 1956. Around 600 animals from 90 species such as raccoon dogs, wild boars, bears, wolves, pot-bellied pigs, wading birds, heather sheep, raccoons, porcupines, European mouflons, bison, snowy owls, monkeys and ferrets live here on an area of around 6 hectares. In addition to the various animal enclosures, there is also a petting zoo, a mini-golf course, a children's playground and catering facilities on the grounds of Hirschfeld Animal Park. Hirschfeld Zoo is open all year round, making it a great excursion destination for young and old in the Zwickau region.
