Tierpark Herborn

Herborn Zoo has been located in the Lahn-Dill district of central Hesse, more precisely in the Herborn district of Uckersdorf, around 47 km southwest of the university town of Marburg, since 1966. Around 300 animals from 80 species live on the grounds of the zoo, which was run as the Herborn Bird and Nature Conservation Zoo until the end of 2016. In addition to kangaroos, muntjacs, fire salamanders, lizzard monkeys and meerkats, there are also various snakes, such as pythons, vipers and adders, as well as various bird species, from the Bali starling and great black macaw to the snowy owl. Herborn Zoo is open all year round with seasonal opening hours and is a great destination for all animal lovers.
