Tier- und Freizeitpark Thüle

In Friesoythe in the district of Cloppenburg in Lower Saxony, around 32 km south-west of Oldenburg and around 48 km south-east of Leer (East Frisia), you will find the animal and leisure park, which opened in 1965. What began as a hobby farm for deer, stags, pheasants, peacock birds and wild boar owned by the Grothaus family has developed over the years into a 17-hectare animal and leisure park. On the site, where you can now see around 1000 animals, some of them exotic, from 156 species, such as white tigers, ring-tailed lemurs, toucans, Grant's zebras and hatted monkeys, you will find over 36 rides for young and old in the amusement park area of Zoo and Leisure Park. In addition to classics such as the nautical jet, comet, lifting rope tower and boat swing, you will also find a drop tower, chain flyer, Europe's first coaster kart, the dragon rollercoaster and the Hilly Billy Race children's rollercoaster. The animal and leisure park, which is open seasonally, promises a great and exciting day out in the district of Cloppenburg.
