Therme Vierordtbad

The Vierordtbad spa, Karlsruhe's oldest bathing establishment, was built in the neo-Renaissance style in the Baden-Württemberg fan-shaped city of Karlsruhe, not far from the congress centre and the fairground. Built in 1867 by the banker Heinrich Vierordt, who also gave his name to the baths, and opened on 3 April 1873, the Vierordtbad has been transformed in its 150-year history from a bathing and spa establishment into a certified 5-star wellness oasis.

Today's Therme Vierordtbad has a fantastic water world with cold and warm indoor pools, five experience showers, the foot pools, the Vitalis and movement pools in the historic bathhouse, and the brine courtyard with the 31 °C and 34 °C warm outdoor pools.

In the fairytale sauna landscape, where you will find, among other things, the 80° warm Margrave sauna with the latest light and sound technology, the fan sauna with up to 85 °C and the unique 45 °C warm Majolica steam bath, the various relaxation rooms also invite you to relax. You can get a well-dosed and gentle tan in the Smartlight Hybrid Solarium, and you can also benefit from the health-promoting effect of the salts in the brine mist, which can hold up to four people. The wellness offer in the historic Vierordtbad spa is rounded off by the range of massages and cosmetic and wellness treatments offered by the Centre for Health and Wellbeing. Between the bathhouse and the sauna you will find the gastronomic area of the Therme with changing daily specials, crisp salads, meat dishes as well as freshly squeezed juices and delicious milkshakes.

Another highlight awaits guests in the winter months in the historic rotunda of the Vierordtbad when the multimedia show "Sound of Life" takes place with specially composed music. The special feature of the event results mainly from the audio-visual 360° composition, in which the audience is positioned in a circle on loungers in the room. The guests can make themselves comfortable on the couches and let themselves fall into a decelerated world.
