Sondershausen - Martinimarkt

The Martinimarkt in Sondershausen, which despite its name strongly resembles a regional fair, is an annual autumn folk festival and a traditional highlight in the calendar of events in this music and mining town. The event attracts visitors from across the region and marks the transition to the cold season when it begins in late October or early November. The festival grounds, typically the fairground at Kaufland, are transformed into a colourful and lively fairground for the duration of the market.
