About the Park
Traditionally, the folk festival season in Schweinfurt is opened with the shooting of the bird. This takes place on the Volksfestplatz and awaits many guests who want to take a ride on the bumper cars or enjoy a beer in the festival tent. In any case, there is something for the whole family, whether it's savoury treats, candy floss, almonds and popcorn or even fairground rides and shooting galleries - which is of course part of the traditional festival. The highlight of the opening day for many will be the fireworks, which will light up the sky over Schweinfurt at around 10 pm. If you miss it, you can watch the closing fireworks on the second Saturday.
