About the Park
The Schwandorf Volksfest takes place at the Volksfestplatz on the Angerring in Schwandorf and starts on Friday. The official Volksfest kick-off traditionally takes place on the first Saturday with a large parade, in which up to 1,500 participants from Schwandorf's clubs and societies take part every year. A ‘Day of businesses, authorities and clubs’ is also planned again. On Whitsun Sunday, there is a spectacular fireworks display at dusk.
