About the Park
Kirw Sunday is always on the 2nd Sunday in August. The Hülzweiler fair ('Helzwella Kirw') begins on the Saturday before and ends on the Wednesday after. Johannes Knoll, known as "Kirwenhannes", rules the village of Hülzweiler over the 5 days.
With around 40,000 visitors, the Helzwella Kirw is probably the largest and longest village fair in Saarland.
The entire Kirw programme is financed by the clubs and stall holders. This costs money, which has to be earned first!
