Salzgitter-Lebenstedt - Cityfest

The Salzgitter-Lebenstedt City Festival is the largest public festival in the city and is considered one of the largest funfairs in the region between the Harz Mountains and the Heath. It traditionally takes place on the third weekend in August.

The City Festival transforms the city centre of Salzgitter-Lebenstedt into a lively festival mile. The three-day event is organised by the CityLebenstedt advertising association and offers a diverse mix of fairground entertainment, live music and community activities.

- Amusement park and fair: The fair is a central part of the festival and offers numerous rides, from large attractions such as a Ferris wheel and roller coasters to classic carousels and game booths.

- Music and stage programme: Visitors can enjoy a varied music programme with live acts, DJs and shows on several stages, including the Monument Square.

- Culinary offerings: Numerous food and drink stands cater to visitors' physical well-being with a large selection of food and beverages.

- Special highlights: The festival traditionally opens on Friday with fireworks. On Sunday, shops in the city centre are open for business. A special feature is the ‘quiet hour’ on two days, during which the fair is designed to be low-noise and low-stimulus for an hour to enable sensitive people to enjoy a pleasant visit.
