Rottweil - Volksfest

The Rottweiler Volksfest takes place in June. It is a traditional city festival that promises ‘fun for young and old’.

What you can expect:

Fairground at the stadium: The central location of the event is the fairground at Stadionstraße 40. This is where the rides and food stalls will be located.

Rides and attractions: A classic folk festival offers something for everyone. From fast-paced rides for adrenaline junkies to family-friendly attractions such as the Ferris wheel, bumper cars and carousels. The obligatory game booths (can throwing, dart throwing, etc.) are also a must.

Culinary delights: Typical folk festival delicacies are offered in abundance. These certainly include bratwurst, chips, roasted almonds, candyfloss and various other delicacies. There are often special stalls with regional specialities.

Children's Day: An integral part of the folk festival is Children's Day, which usually takes place on a Wednesday. On this day, there are reduced prices for the rides and often additional activities or a special programme for the little visitors.

Fireworks: A large fireworks display is usually the highlight of the folk festival and usually takes place on Fridays. Atmosphere: Folk festivals thrive on their special atmosphere. Expect a mixture of cheerful hustle and bustle, loud music from the rides, the smell of roasted almonds and bratwurst, and smiling faces.
