About the Park
In Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, or rather in the Zündorf district of Cologne, you will find the small but beautiful Rolf's Petting Zoo. The petting zoo, which grew out of a volunteer parrot rescue centre, has set itself the task of taking in old, abandoned and unwanted animals, as well as animals from people who can no longer care for them, and providing them with accommodation and care until the end of their "lives". Today, Rolf's petting zoo is home to around 100 birds as well as ducks, donkeys, chickens, kangaroos, llamas, nandus, ponies, sheep, pigs, goats and many more. Rolf's petting zoo is open all year round from Monday to Saturday and offers an exciting and animal-filled experience, not just for children.
