About the Park
In 1956, the Opel Zoo in Kronberg im Taunus (Rhine-Main area) was founded by Georg von Opel as a research enclosure. The park is home to well over 200 animal species. The park is particularly proud of its keeping of the Mesopotamian fallow deer, its 2 hectare African savannah and the elephant enclosure.
