Oberzent-Beerfelden - Pferdemarkt

The Beerfeld Horse Fair in Oberzent is one of the most traditional and well-known folk festivals in southern Hesse, attracting thousands of visitors to the Odenwald every year. For over 120 years, the event has uniquely combined tradition, agriculture, equestrian sports and classic fairground fun – and has long since made a name for itself far beyond the region.

Over the course of four days, guests can look forward to an extraordinary mix of a large funfair with modern rides, numerous games and market stalls, and a varied programme of entertainment for the whole family. Particularly popular are the spectacular rides, the festival hall with live music and a party atmosphere, and the large market, which stretches across the entire event site.

A real highlight is the traditional horse riding and show jumping tournament, which features top-class equestrian competitions and attracts participants from all over Germany. The grand finale on Monday is the famous livestock show, regarded as one of the largest and most diverse of its kind in Hesse. Horses, ponies, cattle, sheep and many other animals give this event its special character.
