About the Park
In 1926 the larger of the two Saarland zoos opened for the first time in Neunkirchen. Over 140 animal species are presented on an area of around 20 hectares, with the focus being on Asian animals such as the Chinese tree chipmunk, the Asian elephant or the Mangshan mountain viper.
