Naturwildpark Freisen

In the north-eastern part of Saarland, more precisely in Freisen in the district of St. Wendel, approx. 47 km from the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Kaiserslautern, the Freisen Nature Wildlife Park has been located since 1999. The natural wildlife park, which is run by the Broszeit family, is home to a wide variety of animal species such as fallow deer, red deer, raccoons, raccoon dogs, foxes, otters, Valais goats, prairie dogs, donkeys, Thuringian forest goats and various birds of prey such as eagles, owls, buzzards and vultures. During the summer season at Freisen Nature Wildlife Park, falconers and their magnificent birds of prey can be admired during daily flight demonstrations. A special experience awaits you on the approx. 1.8 km long circular trail, where you can get very close to various animals as they can move freely along the trail. Naturwildpark Freisen also has a playground for children and, since June 2024, a kiddie coaster called Kangaroo Racer. The park also has a restaurant to cater for visitors' physical well-being. Naturwildpark Freisen is open all year round and offers a great day out for the whole family at any time of year.
