Miltenberg - Michaelismesse

The Michaelismesse in Miltenberg, usually called “Michelsmess” by locals, is one of the most traditional and largest folk festivals in the Bavarian Lower Main region. It combines a folk festival, a fair, a trade show, and regional traditions—all in a particularly beautiful setting between Miltenberg’s historic old town and the banks of the Main River.

The centerpiece is a large amusement park featuring rides, carousels, and carnival performers. There are also numerous food stalls offering meals, sweets, and typical fair treats. Running parallel to this is a traditional market with vendors, regional products, and handicrafts. Another area is the trade and exhibition section, where companies showcase their products and services.
