Mannheim - Fasnachtsmarkt

The large Ferris wheel at the water tower is a recognisable symbol of the Mannheim Fasnachtmarkt and can be seen from afar. After a two-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, young and old fools from near and far have finally been able to celebrate again in Mannheim city centre since 2023. 60 fairground operators, carousels, snack bars and local restaurants invite you to join in the carnival fun from "Altweiberfasnacht" on Thursday until Shrove Tuesday, along the Planken to Paradeplatz and on "Münzplatz" between P 6 and P 7. The areas around the water tower will be transformed into an amusement park for the whole family with various attractions. Mayor Michael Grötsch is hoping for many visitors: "We are bringing joie de vivre to the city with the carnival market."
