Luisenpark Mannheim

In the centre of the square city of Mannheim in Baden-Württemberg, in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, you will find Luisenpark, which is the largest park in the city and is divided into two parts. The attractive park grounds, consisting of more than 3,000 trees from 130 species as well as more than 100 types of shrubs and 300,000 flowers in spring and 200,000 in summer and autumn, attract more than one million people to the park every year. The extensive network of paths with a length of around ten kilometres through the Luisenpark leads past an underwater world, terrariums, aviaries, wading bird meadow, the butterfly house and the farm. The Chinese garden with its teahouse invites you to linger, while six different playgrounds, a leisure meadow and the mini golf course await children in Luisenpark. You can also take a leisurely trip on the Gondolettas across the Kutzerweiher pond past the 1500 square metre bird island and the flamingos and cormorants that live there. A rich programme of events with exhibitions, theatre performances, dance, concerts, children's events and church services as well as the park festivals with fireworks are further highlights in Luisenpark. In 1975 and 2023, the Federal Garden Show was also held here in Luisenpark.
