Lübben - Hafenfest

The Lübben Harbour Festival is one of the absolute highlights of the summer season in the Spreewald and transforms the area around the beach harbour and the castle island into a lively festival zone right by the water. The idyllic Spreewald backdrop provides the perfect setting for a varied programme that combines traditional culture with modern entertainment. Visitors can enjoy live music on various stages, regional crafts, culinary delights and typical Spreewald activities such as boat trips or demonstrations on the water.

A central highlight of the festival is the colourful funfair, which takes up a good half of the festival grounds. The fair attracts visitors of all ages to the banks of the Spree with its exhilarating fairground atmosphere. Popular rides such as bumper cars, fast carousels and spectacular high-altitude rides, which offer a unique view over Lübben and the Spreewald, provide adrenaline and thrills. There are also numerous child-friendly attractions for younger guests, such as classic baby planes, bungee trampolines and duck fishing.

The fair is complemented by a wide range of traditional fairground stalls and games. Whether it’s tin can toss, darts or the prize stalls – there are plenty of opportunities to put your skills to the test. The fair also leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to food: the aroma of freshly roasted almonds, candyfloss and chocolate-coated fruit mingles with hearty classics such as bratwurst, lángos, garlic bread and chips. Together with the colourful fairy lights and the music from the fairground rides, the fair lends the Harbour Festival a very special magic as darkness falls, before the festivities reach their climax with an impressive light or fireworks display over the water.
