Lohr am Main - Spessartfestwoche

Every year, it's the end of July in Lohr a.Main. Something is different, something is in the air. That's right - it's Spessarfestwoche!

From 1946 until today, the ‘Festwoche’ has developed into one of the most important folk festivals in Lower Franconia. Once a year, the Mainlände is transformed into a colourful, cheerful fairground. Various rides offer fun for the young and the young at heart. Guests sit happily together in the huge beer tent and enjoy their festival beer.

Giant pretzels with cheese, half chickens or knuckle of pork along with rolled roasts are just as firmly installed as the well-mixed music and entertainment programme. Lucky are those who manage to get a spot in the festival beer garden directly on the Main on balmy summer evenings.

The Lohr Spessart Festival Week is much more than just a cosy beer festival. It is an institution in our beautiful town.
