Lippetal - Lippborger Markt

The Lippborg market has been taking place for more than 300 years. Every year at the end of August - on the last Tuesday in August to be precise (and the weekend before) - Lippborg is transformed into a small Mecca for young and old. This traditional folk festival is firmly established in Lippetal and the surrounding area - visitors from far and wide also find their way to Lippborg. The organising team is part of the Lippborg Trade Association - but sacrifices its time voluntarily in order to continue to organise this folk festival. In recent years in particular, the organisation team has become much younger and has also grown to allow a few new ideas and a breath of fresh air to blow through the stalls. A special feature of our market and almost our ‘trademark’ is the day off on Monday. This day of rest - which was necessary in the past due to a ‘Sunday driving ban’ - will be retained. On the one hand, we don't want to let the tradition fall into oblivion and, on the other hand, it recharges the batteries of visitors and exhibitors for the final spurt on the last day. Because on the actual market day, Tuesday, it starts at 6 a.m. with a cattle and produce market and then continues into the evening hours.
