About the Park
The Kronacher Freischießen, usually simply called Freischießen, is the shooting festival organised by the Kronach Shooting Society. It takes place every year in August and is the largest public festival in the Franconian Forest with around 300,000 visitors. It always takes place over eleven days and ends on the penultimate Sunday in August.
