Karls - Erlebnis-Dorf Oberhausen

On 22 July 2026, the eighth Karls Adventure Village opened in Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, in the Ruhr region: the Karls Adventure Village Oberhausen. Alongside popular attractions such as the tractor ride and the strawberry caterpillar ride, visitors can also look forward to the Curryversum, a themed world centred entirely on the German currywurst. The offering is complemented by various open-workshop facilities, markets, themed dining experiences and numerous other attractions for all age groups.

The Karls Adventure Villages combine open-workshop facilities, farm shops, restaurants and a wide range of play and ride options to create a special day-out destination for the whole family. In the open-plan workshops, visitors can watch, amongst other things, how coffee is roasted, soap is made, sweets are produced, liqueurs are bottled, ice cream is made, chocolate is processed, jam is cooked and bread is baked. In addition, the farm shops offer a wide selection of home-made products, particularly those centred around strawberries.

Admission to the Karls Adventure Villages, which are open all year round, is generally free of charge. However, a fee is charged for individual attractions. Alternatively, day or annual passes can be purchased, which allow unlimited use of the majority of the rides and attractions.
