About the Park
The Nahe Summer Festival in Idar-Oberstein is a fresh new event format that takes over from the long-standing Spießbratenfest. A lively festival area is being created on the grounds of the Idar-Oberstein Exhibition Centre, combining modern facilities with regional warmth. Over thirty fairground operators and exhibitors will create a varied venue that invites visitors to linger from morning until late in the evening every day.
Culinary-wise, the festival remains true to its roots and focuses on the region’s specialities, with the classic spit-roast and typical Hunsrück dishes such as Grumbiere-Wurscht and stuffed dumplings taking centre stage. A varied supporting programme in the exhibition hall provides entertainment for all generations with a range of musical performances. Highlights include a convivial morning pint for residents and businesses, as well as a special family day, before a grand fireworks display over the town brings the festivities to a close.
