Hohenfels - Deutsch-Amerikanisches Volksfest

The Hohenfels folk festival takes place on the Hohenfels military training area in 92366 Hohenfels in the Upper Palatinate. Hohenfels is located between Neumarkt and Regensburg.

The musical programme offers a wide range from traditional Bavarian music to rock, pop and country. Visitors can also look forward to a tantalising selection of international food, ranging from American classics to bratwurst and Bavarian delicacies, embodying the authentic ‘American way of life’ at the folk festival. Other highlights include a joint weapons and equipment display by the US Army and the German Armed Forces as well as traditional bus tours of the military training area.

All visitors aged 16 and over must carry a valid identity card or passport. Vehicle and personal checks are carried out. There will be a 100% check of all bags and other items, so please refrain from carrying non-essential luggage. Large bags and rucksacks must be left in the vehicle.

Visitors travelling by train will be able to use special shuttle buses to travel comfortably from Parsberg station to the Volksfestplatz and back again.
