Herborn - Martinimarkt

On the first or second weekend in November, the Martinimarkt is one of the most traditional (since 1465!) and largest markets in the region and attracts visitors to Herborn in droves. The smell of roasted almonds and mulled wine is the perfect way to get visitors in the mood for Christmas. A large amusement park and many great rides on the fairground at the former riding grounds offer fast-paced fun. Over 100 stalls with a huge range of products are present in the town centre on both market days - Sunday and Monday. On Martinimarkt Sunday, Herborn's shops are also open from 12 noon to 6 pm and invite you to enjoy a leisurely shopping spree. After dark, there will be a big fireworks display on Sunday evening at around 7 pm. Monday is traditionally family day at the amusement park with reduced ride prices.
