About the Park

The Lantern Festival in Halle (Saale) traditionally takes place on the last weekend in August. Once again this year, countless colourful lantern lights illuminate the event area on the Ziegelwiese, Peißnitzinsel, the Riveufer and the Saale. Whether it's the traditional fisherman's joust, a rousing duck race or a leisurely lantern parade - a varied programme is guaranteed. In addition, impressive stage shows with music, theatre and dance as well as numerous catering and fairground rides await young and old on the festival grounds.
