Greifvogelstation & Wildfreigehege Hellenthal

The Hellenthal Bird of Prey Station & Game Reserve has been located in Hellenthal in the Euskirchen district of North Rhine-Westphalia, south of the Eifel National Park, since 1967. On the approximately 65-hectare site of the private game reserve, native animal species such as fallow deer, red deer, mouflon, wild boar, lynx, fox, wildcat, raccoon, raccoon dog and wild horse are presented in a natural environment. In the area of the bird of prey station, on the other hand, native eagles, buzzards, kites and falcons, as well as exotic birds such as the short-toed eagle, desert buzzard, bald eagle, condor and Andean buzzard await in their aviaries and at the flight shows that take place several times a day. There is also a restaurant, a playground, a petting zoo and the Adler Express, a park railway that runs through the park, on the grounds of the Hellenthal Bird of Prey Station and Wildlife Park. The Hellenthal Bird of Prey Station & Game Reserve is open all year round and is a worthwhile excursion destination for young and old.
